Amr Zakaria Khalil is a dedicated Hebrew-language translator with a strong academic background. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Oriental Languages (Hebrew) from Cairo University’s Faculty of Arts, as well as diplomas in Israeli Studies from Cairo University’s Faculty of Economics and Political Science and in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo.
Professionally, Amr serves on the Board of Directors at Horus Academy and is a member of the Egyptian Translators Association. His translation and writing career include the translation of more than 30 books from Hebrew to Arabic, along with the authorship of five books. He has also published numerous articles in both Arabic and Hebrew across various Egyptian and Israeli newspapers and magazines.
Some of his notable translations include *Israel-Asian Relations* by Ambassador Moshe Yegar, *Israeli-African Relations* by Ambassador Arye Oded, and *Prophets of the Old Testament* by Minashe Duvshani, as well as three novels from Hebrew literature and *Egyptian-Israeli Relations* by Ambassador David Sultan.
Amr is a regular participant in international book fairs and has seen his translations featured in major university libraries throughout Egypt, the Arab world, and Israel. He has taught Hebrew for several years and is committed to increasing awareness and understanding between Arab and Israeli peoples through his translations and scholarly works. His publications are widely recognized in the field.
