With over three decades of expertise in Hebrew studies, translation, and cultural management, I am passionate about bridging cultural and academic understanding between the Middle East and Israel. I have served as a Hebrew professional tour guide and cultural activities manager, helping organize study tours for Israeli students and delegations. As a founding partner of Horus Academy for Languages and Training, I have overseen numerous educational initiatives that promote cross-cultural dialogue.

My career spans diverse roles, from managing large-scale translation projects, including a 5-million-word Hebrew-to-Arabic translation for IBM, to delivering lectures at prestigious Israeli institutions like Bar Ilan and Ben Gurion University. In addition to my academic work, I have contributed to media as the Hebrew Chief Editor at Egypt’s News Center and served as a radio announcer and translator for the Egyptian Broadcasting Network.

A dedicated scholar of the Arab-Israeli conflict, I continue to engage in peace forums and academic discussions on Israeli affairs, while nurturing future generations of cultural leaders through teaching and lecturing roles.

Experience:

  • Supervised and managed a translation team (35 translators) for the IBM Translation Project – 5 million Hebrew words (Machine Translation from Hebrew to Arabic) from May 2010 to April 2011, and for the IBM Translation Project – 5 million Farsi words (Machine Translation from Farsi to Arabic) from January to November 2014.
  • Senior Team Leader at Exceed (Microsoft Call Center), coordinating the Hebrew & Arabic-English Accounts and Product Activation Motivation Team (150 employees), along with HR tasks. Full-time position (September 2005 to April 2010).
  • Radio Announcer and Programmer for the Hebrew Program at Egyptian Broadcast (1986–present), and TV Programmer & Translator for Nile TV International / Online Net Hebrew Department (2004–present).
  • The only travel agent in Egypt specializing in Hebrew study tours for Israeli students and delegations (1987–present).
  • Tour Operator and Conference Organizer in the tourism field (1984–present).
  • Public Relations Manager & Secretary of the Israeli Academic Center in Cairo (1990–2001).
  • Reporter for the IBA (Israel Broadcasting Authority), submitting weekly voice reports on cultural and literary activities in Egypt and the Arab world (1994–1995).
  • Participated in several forums and symposiums discussing Oriental Studies, held in Israel, including:
    • Delivered a lecture on my personal experience in the translation field from/to Hebrew in Egypt at a workshop on Teaching Hebrew Academic Language, held in Jerusalem in September 1990.
    • Delivered a lecture on changes in teaching Hebrew in Egypt over the past 20 years, organized by Bar-Ilan University in Jerusalem (March 1997).
    • Visiting Lecturer for Israeli students at the Jewish-Arabian Institute for Peace (Givaat Habiba) in November 1995, where I lectured on the Ancient Egyptian Civilization and its impact on humanity.
    • Visiting Lecturer for a full semester (4 months) in 1998/1999 at Ben Gurion University (Israeli students), focusing on Arabic literature and document analysis.
    • Participated in the International Alliance for Peace – Cairo Peace Movement forum in June 1998, drafting a joint statement in Hebrew and Arabic.
  • Translator and Analyzer at the Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies (Israeli Digest) (1996–2017).
